There’s been a pink-ish haze in the air in Ibiza over the past couple of weeks, as the wind brings in sand from the Sahara Desert. Sure, it means residents need to wash their cars more often – especially after the on-again, off-again rains turn it to a sludgy residue – and hose off their terraces, but at the same time we’re rewarded with beautiful sky and sea views like this one. Every cloud has a silver lining… or in our case, a pink one!

The sea is so calm and still in Ibiza right now; there are no boats to break the smooth surface of the water – only dolphins, who are flitting up and down the coastline, vying for our attention. And while the tranquility of an un-sailed sea is certainly beautiful, we are looking forward to the return of the passenger ferries, to the stylish yachts and of course, to the opportunity to cruise across to our sister island very soon.

The proverbial doors to Ibiza might still be closed to travellers for the next few weeks, but the buzz on the island (behind closed doors!) is that summer 2021 is happening. While it may not be the all-singing, all-dancing party island of the past, Ibiza is still a sanctuary for those who wish to flock to her shores – a place of peace where you can come together with your closest friends to start doing what matters and making new memories.
