DIY CRATE PET BED :: Tutorial & pics! Made out of scrap 1x4's from old furniture porjects. She wanted it to look like an old weathered crate so the construction was basic. She added small castor wheels & appled a vinegar & steel wool solution to the wood, but then finished the look w/ some dark walnut danish oil then dry brushed paint then more oil to age the paint color. We’re adding one more cast-off-to-furniture project to our vault.That’s a standing front-facing bookshelf made from two wood pallets above. We found this on the talented Ana White’s website made by one of her readers. Unfortunately, there isn’t a how-to for this project, but Anna does have a ton of other great uses for wood pallets.
