American Civil War - Patriotic Wife - Original Unsigned CDV Photograph
Carte de Visite of what appears from her outfit to be a Civil War "Daughter of the Regiment" or Vivandiere. Many of these young volunteers were either wives or sisters of soldiers in the Regiment. These patriotic young women followed the Regiments as their mascot or perhaps nurse. Wonderful patriotic pose photographed in Boston at Miller & Rowell Studio. *s*
