Transformerstation Bremerholm blev opført mellem 1962 og 1963 af Arkitekt Hans Chr. Hansen, da han arbejdede for Stadsarkitektens Direktorat i København under ledelse af F.C. Lund (1896-1984). Bygningen bibeholdt sin funktion som transformerstation indtil 2013, hvor den nuværende ejer Dong energi valgte at flytte transformerne ud af byen. Siden har bygningen stået ubenyttet hen, men spor af dens tidligere liv står tydeligt og uberørt tilbage.
