Amphibians section - small animal science

Glass frog These frogs not only look like glass but they sound like glass wind chimes at night. a tinkling sound or a chain "clinking" against a metal pole.

This is just amazing. Could skip the frog dissections and just watch everything working in an unharmed animal!

crazy rainforest frogs are always cool

Glass Frog - This little guy gets his name from his translucent abdomen. While this class of frogs is primarily lime green, their bellies, and on some even their backs, are see-through so that their heart, intestines and liver are visible through the thin clear skin. While hanging out in the forest, their unique skin gives them the useful ability to blend right into the leaves. They can be found in rainforests in Central and South America.

The Glass Grog: This tiny frog gets its name because of the translucent skin on its underside that allows you to see its inner organs, right down to its beating heart!

You can SEE THROUGH this frog! How totally awesome/bizarre is that? There are technical names and all that stuff, but you can look it up. I don’t want to diminish the magic of SEE-THROUGH-FROGS!

I do not particularly appreciate when people piggyback on my funnyness. I'm the one who does not put on a phony fecade. That comes with a price, and if you aren't willing to pay it then you shouldn't steal the benefits from it either.

frogs are always around places that are thriving ecologically.there were so many frogs when I was younger.

Twinkling in the dimmest of places within the tropical jungles of South America is the Fringe-limbed Tree Frog (Cochranella euknemos). Its name euknemos derives from Greek and means "with beautiful legs," which refers to the frog's fringed hind limbs.
