BUFFALO BILL’S COLT 1851 NAVY: The most illustrious previous owner of this scroll-engraved Colt bearing serial number 1 was the larger-than-life “Buffalo Bill”. This famous sixgun is punch dot marked with “W. Cody” on the side of the barrel.
European (German) riveted mail hauberk, 1st half of the 16th century, riveted iron rings (circa 9 mm in diameter), slightly larger and thicker rings at the shoulders. Open along one side, with short sleeves. A small central front slit, the back slightly shorter. The attached collar made of sturdy rings, with side slit and ending with a row of small closed rings. The lower edge with riveted ornamental brass rings. Minor losses, partially closed with modern-day copper wire rings. Length 81 cm.
