1918 Moline-Knight L-40 3-Door Touring - The Moline Automobile Company manufactured cars from 1904-1919 in East Moline, Illinois. The car used a Knight sleeve-valve engine which created higher compression w/ the carbon build-up common due to bad gasoline in the day. Originally founded in 1900 as the R & V Engineering Co. the Moline name changed to R & V Knight for the 1920 model. Car production ceased in 1924 for truck & bus engine production only.
