These 5 failed McDonald's menu items are nasty concoctions that were bad ideas. See 5 failed McDonald's menu items.

Vintage Holly Hobbie/ this was what my room was when I was little... I loved it!

This brought back lots of memories, I loved my Holly Hobby doll! {k} Absolutely loved Holly Hobbie as a child!

good old days ;) ...

45 RPM records with a stacker = big time! I've still got a slew of 45 records and a record player to play them on.

Back in the day: Hair curlers. Pincurls...still being used in the late 1940s/early 1950s

Comb damp hair Part into small sections. Wind each curl around your finger smoothly. Pin each curl in place with a bobby pin. In the morning remove pins and gently finger comb your hair.

Paper funnel cup inserts in metal holders - you got your Coke often in one of these at the drugstore soda-fountain in the 50's. remember these.

Pepsi-Cola Soda Fountain Paper Cone & - I used to get them at the counter at Newberry's in downtown South Boston, VA. I remember drinking out of these at the local drug store fountain. Usually a chocolate coke.

Had one like this as a kid!

ice cube trays in the tiny freezer at the top of the refrigerator. I remember the time I was trying to defrost it and ran a screw driver through it!

Saddle shoe like Ellen Degeneres

Saddle Oxfords with the red crepe soles. The saddles were more expensive so I usually had plain gray ones. I hated the gray, & thought I was something whenever I got saddles. I was so rough on shoes I now know why I got the gray ones most of the time.

Drive-In Reminiscing I saw this picture going around Facebook - does anyone remember these?  Well, as a child of the 60’s and 70’s, I sure do!!  In fact, I’m lucky to live near a place where these are still being used – the Drive-In movie theater.  The antique looking speakers are still in position at one of the few drive-in theaters we have left in Minnesota.

Drive-In Movie Sound System.Speakers at the drive in.one for your car.one for the car on the other side of you.what fun it was! Not so much fun to drive away at the end of the movie with the speaker still clipped to your window!

I totally remember the metal skates with the keys that attached to your shoes.

Just like my old adjustable Metal Roller Skates. Remember the song, "I've got a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key"? My kids asked what the heck keys had to do with skates.

My Mom wasn't good at breading hair, so she put a part in my head, wrapped one of these around the end of my ponytail, tied it in a bow and sent my off to school. Memories.

Yarn Ponytail Ties I wore these in my pigtails all the time until I got the brilliant idea to get my hair cut into a shag. My hair wasn't long again for yrs!

lovely vinyl I love me my vinyl

45 rpm records had one song on each side. They required an insert for the hole in order to fit on the record player.

Sweet memories! Both of my grandmothers had one of these...

My grandmas kitchen stool I use to sit on at the dinner table.my Aunt had one of these stools in her Kitchen! Loved it!

pet turtles 1960's

Red ear slider pet turtles from Woolworth's Pet Department. Buying the plastic tank with the fake palm tree and the little diving board. My sister and I would watch these turtles for hours. Who knew back then that they carried salmonella. But we lived.
