Moore Lyndon Turnbull Whitaker (MLTW)/Moore Turnbull’s Rush House is organized vertically around a central chimney and laddered walls “built for climbing,” and the living room’s bay windows admit ample natural light.
DEF: Large spaces giving the feeling of exposed. Big huge windows with nothing to cover them . WHY: I chose this room because the windows surround the walls and have no protection to cover them making me feel exposed.
The guesthouse has similar built-ins and is outfitted with a reproduction rotating sconce by Serge Mouille and rugs by Stephanie Odegard. Photo by Architecture by Norman Millar Architects + Judith Sheine
