Tamandua mexicana This Tamandua has hit the jackpot.  Completely unconcerned with my presence, the anteater scaled a nearby tree and began to systematically disassemble this large termite nest.  This particular species of medium-sized anteater utilizes its prehensile tail (just like a spider monkey) to hang from branches while feeding on termites.
