1912 - Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, who became the forts ballet dancer to tour the world with her own dance company. She moved to London in 1912 and is photographed here in her Hampstead garden wearing a soft belted gown, hat and her ballet shoes.

Nancy Green, the real Aunt Jemima.Nancy Green was born into slavery November 17, 1834. She became the Trademark for Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix in 1890.Aunt Jemima actually was a song before it became the name of a pancake mix. Nancy Green demonstrated the pancake mix and served thousands of pancakes. She was very friendly, a great story teller and a great cook.

Nancy Green a former slave, was employed in 1893 to promote the Aunt Jemima brand by demonstrating the pancake mix at expositions and fairs. She was a popular attraction because of her friendly personality, great story-telling, and warmth.
