A Fine Early Kangxi Square Porcelain Vase. The Flared Cylindrical Neck Tops a Rectangular Body Which Tapers Towards the Base. The Recessed Base Contains a Ming Chenghua Mark (1465 - 1487). The Vase is Decorated With the Scenes From the Well Known `Ode to the Red Cliff` by Su Shi (1037 -1101) and Two Panels of the Poem with a Seal Mark. As with Other Vases From this Group the Painting is Very Well Executed and Subtle. The Neck is Decorated with Rock-work and Bamboo.
