Very Scarce, Grand Tour, circa 1880 Model of the Siegessaule Monument, Berlin. This very rare model of the Siegessaule was probably cast and finished in the late 19th century, perhaps near the time of the Column’s dedication. It was made by F. C. Sprick & Co., a Berlin company of whom next to nothing is known (save the firm’s inclusion in an 1876 city street address directory). The model’s high level of detail and precise elements are characteristic of German foundries in this period.
