On Isla Taquile, located in Lake Titicaca, some 2000 people live quite isolated from the mainland. Because the proud islanders maintain a colourful lifestyle, every day many tourists make the trip to the island.  The woman on the picture is one of the members of a dance ensemble to entertain the tourists. Elevation 500 feet above the lake.
