Its survival underscores the fragmentary nature of the archaeological record of Dvaravati art. Its sophisticated modeling and highly finished surface provide a glimpse of the standards of artistry that were attained. #LostKingdoms

This classic Dvaravati standing Buddha displays all the stylistic traits of an early work. The robes clearly define the form beneath in the manner of contemporaneous Buddha imagery from the Sarnath school of northern India
