Watermelon tourmaline. Tourmaline is a crystal boron silicate mineral compounded with elements such as aluminium, iron, magnesium, sodium, lithium, or potassium. Tourmaline is classified as a semi-precious stone and the gemstone comes in a wide variety of colors. Rutile and Hematite in Quartz. An oval colorless Quartz with a towering stack of Hematite crystals with radiating Rutile coming out of them. The Rutile needles are golden yellow and quite shiny.

These naturally occuring crystals  actually contain an oil-like substance and  as one moves the crystal, one can see  the oil moving as well as bubbles/gas contained within.  We have also been told that these will fluoresce under ultraviolet lights!  Another Rare Find that  is brought to light .1.5 inches in length.  Locality is Wadh (town in the Khuzdar District , Afghanistan / Pakistan

Tourmaline on double terminated Quartz. I am so fascinated with mineral formations and growth. This my second favorite piece. I'm def a Tourmaline girl
