Explore The Lord, Lord Of The Rings, and more!

"I am no man." The Lord of the Rings. My favourite line in the series LA escena

Awesome scene, LOTR: Eowyn killing the witch king of Angmar.

Aragorn | The Lord of the Rings More

Aragorn, son of Arathorn, Isildur's heir to the throne of Gondor. I've always loved--and will always love--this beautiful, beautiful poem.

"Then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine-trees and the waterfalls, and explore the caves, and wear a sword instead of a walking-stick." #TheHobbit #AnUnexpectedJourney #BilboBaggins

"Then something Tookish woke up inside him and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine trees and waterfalls, and explore the caves and wear a sword instead of a walking stick." Bilbo is my spirit animal.

AND THEN THE SONG IN THE CREDITS LIKE WHOA OKAY FEELZ

My exact reaction when Pippin's song started playing in The Hobbit trailer

Amazing storyteller...you are missed

Tolkien on escapism in LOTR. This is the most amazing quote and my new mantra!← THIS MAN IS MY LITERARY HERO. His actual writing style may be too dense for my taste but everything else about him blows me away

There's really no way in the universe that you can refrain from crying during this scene.

I totally didn't hold it together. this scene still makes me tear up every time!

Sam’s the real hero of LotR

Frodo would have been screwed without Sam.but more importantly, I think Sam is the real hero of the story. Frodo had to carry the ring, but Sam carried Frodo.<--Samwise IS the real hero of the story according to Tolkien.

Lord of the rings.... this is what I think every time I go on Facebook! hahhaa

Why not throw some hobbit insults into r/funny for the birthday of Bilbo and Frodo!

Why not throw some hobbit insults into r/funny for the birthday of Bilbo and Frodo! - best insult ever!

Continuing on my previous vein regarding Eomer; Eowyn, during the time of LotR, is only 20 years old. She's left in charge of running King Théoden's household in her teen years, has no one to help defend her when Wormtongue makes his lecherous advances, and then, when she feels as though she has nothing left of worth in her life, sneaks into the Rohirrim army to go out fighting. Talk about strength, and critics complain about the women Tolkien wrote. -Heather

Day Favorite Female Character: No brainer. She is my favorite female character ever. I admire her strength, and I absolutely love her and Faramir.

A Daughter of Kings-Eowyn

The fact that people condemn Tolkien for his underrepresentation of female characters is mind-boggling to me. Eowyn was the definition of bravery, kindness, and love and she vanquished the Witch King with the battle cry "I am no man". Thank you, Tolkien!

i blame tolkien I Blame Tolkien

Saturday Laughs- I don't blame Disney form my high expectations of men. I blame Tolkien (Lord of the Rings- Aragorn, Tangled- Flynn Rider)

We don't do unexpected parties. . .

Hobbits - making social anxiety fun and charming. Not that introverts means having social anxiety simply that I do tend to struggle with that when I'm in a depressive episode.

Half of the things I've heard about Viggo Mortensen from the set of LOTR gives him 300 Respect-o-points!

Part two, for all you Tolkien fans!

Behind-the-scene facts you may or may not have known about The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. And THAT was the most expensive coffee spree in the history of the world!

Viggo Mortensen bonded so much with the horse he rode in LOTR, he bought it from its owner.

Viggo Mortensen is the man

Viggo Mortensen bonded so much with Uraeus (Brego in the film), the horse he rode in the Lord of the Rings series that after they finished filming, he purchased the horse from its owner. He also bought his stunt double's horse for stunt double!

- it's really amazing how the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies add meaning to each other.
