Music in Our Schools Month - bulletin board ideas

Check out my new bulletin board for MIOSM. My music classes consist of music lessons that explore math, language, history, reading and science.

I got this idea from a fellow elementary music teacher in my district. Cut pool noodles into 4 and use as rhythm sticks for the little ones. It's safe and not nearly as loud! I just got finished cutting up this set (super fast and easy with a serrated knife) from noodles I bought online. Can't wait to try them!

This was a fun activity to do in music class the first week of school involving the whole school! The kids spent just the last 10 minutes of class coloring there note/musical symbol. I also had a bit of a grade level assignment for them to include. The fifth graders wrote their favorite song title, the third graders wrote the value of the assigned note etc.
