Danilo Mascia-Cariola: This is one of the Jewish Memorials in Budapest. The Nazis asked Jews to take their shoes off before shooting them into the river. The shoes are made of bronze and are attached to the bank. It is one of the most moving Holocaust memorials I've ever seen.
