Alexei Nikolaevich Romanov of Russia (August 12 1904 – July 17 1918) was the youngest child and only son of Tsar Nicholas II and Princess Alix and was the heir apparent to the throne of the Russian Empire. Sadly when he was only 13 years old, he was executed with his entire family.
