The chieftain is shown wearing mail and a fantastic helmet (based on the helmet found at and archaeological site near Zaragosa). He is about to throw a saunion, an all iron javelin similar to Roman pilum.
Iberian warriors parade an enemy's head for their chieftain to see and admire. The warriors are well armed with scale and mail armour. The warriors on foot are carrying saunion javelins, an excellent weapon which had the same qualities as the Roman pilum.
