Smith Machine Donkey Kicks into a Smith Machine Hip Thrust. Perform the donkey kick on one leg reps), flip around and go right into the hip thrust with that same leg on the ground reps) and SQUEEZE your butt as you lift your hips off the ground.
I relied heavily on this exercise when I was trying to grow my glutes without growing my legs. The kneeling squat can be done in a squat rack with pins or on a smith machine. Mind muscle connection is verrrry important with this exercise.
