arepas = small white corncakes that are light and crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. You split them open like a pita and stuff with shredded beef, marinated chunks of chicken, or roasted pork shoulder.
Arepas Rellenas-recipe in spanish but a must try! If you've never had Arepa Rellena you must try it. It's great with a native drink called "Refajo" a soda called Colombiana and a beer called Aguila served together. Very refreshing.
