"Spork Crab" Ads for California Coastal CleanUp Day (California Coastal Commission)

Coastal Clean-up Day (Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Poster designs features surreal images of California coastal wildlife and the trash which plagues them.

This is a great PSA about recycling and saving the ocean. The image is striking but doesn't overshadow the text. I also like how the shadowing from the top to the bottom give the illusion that the sushi is sitting on a plate.

I really like how the Surfrider Foundation have represented the effects of plastics in the ocean. Showing the plastic in sushi which is sea food to represent the ocean I think is a clever and very creative way to grab people's attention.
