I made this fireplace screen because I couldn't find one anywhere that I liked! I made this one using a cabinet door purchased at our local habitat for humanity re-store - I painted it gloss white, added some scroll work details to the middle and corners, for feet I used small wooden shelf brackets on the back... it's sturdy, and hides the black hole of the fireplace during the summer months :D
