Sending hugs and prayers
The theme for the new challenge over at Addicted to CAS is: silhouette. I used a silhouette stamp from Joy! crafts: 6410/0067. the Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp: friendship blooms I made a panel with Schut aquarel paper and Distress ink refills. I tried to make it look like the treebranch is in front of other trees where the blue skies still shines through...dappled shade ;-)...Does it make sense? I liked the color combo (mermaid lagoon and mowed lawn) and I wanted to keep the colors…

Wildflowers and Butterflies Card
I received this card in a card swap in the spring with the VanIsle Group - a group of demonstrators who live on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. We get together twice a year and have our own Regional Events. This card was created by Karen Vanderberg. Obviously she is very talented! I love how she used the corner rounder punch on 2 corners of each piece and put them together so they look like a flower. An Antique Brad in the center just finishes it off. To do the sentiment, you have to stamp it…

Showcase Week 171
We are delighted to announce the winners of our ShowCASe for week 171 which was a ONE LAYER card with the theme of Thank you!. It was surprising how many cards strayed outside the parameters of the challenge by not being one layer, not adhering to the CAS Guidelines or simply not being a Thank you card. Lovely cards though they were, they obviously could not be considered for the showcase. These beauties however, really took our eye! SO here are our choices for this time. Jo Just love this…
Bright Butterflies for Our Creative Corner
Hey, hey, it's finally Saturday! Woot woot! Time for another fun challenge over at Our Creative Corner. This week, Irena Kowalczyk is our hostess once again and she has a fun theme challenge to share: "This week's challenge is based on this inspiration photo of "Butterflies". Make a project, card, or tag inspired by the photo. Then tell us why you love butterflies." My card ended up pretty clean and simple. When I thought about what I wanted to make for this challenge, all that came to mind…
First Feathers for FMS
Good morning and welcome! Today has the promise of being a wonderful Spring Day - you know the type, a cool night but a beautifully clear and warm sunny day :-) We are expecting a lovely 24 degrees Celsius - the warmest since Winter - and it is time to get into the garden and get the summer veggies planted - am so looking forward to doing that later this afternoon with a couple of good friends who are popping over to help :-) For today's card I was inspired to use the new Four Feathers stamp…
*CAS262 Sympathy by hobbydujour - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Jen asked Gail(mamasix), winner of the CAS Trivia game, to create the challenge for today. Gail chose "neutrals". I love the soothing nature of neutrals and decided to make a sympathy card to have on hand when that sad occasion arrives. TFL
Autumn Sunset
Here's a card for this week's Queen for the Day at SCS. Her name is Joanne but she goes by jojot. What fun to take a leisurely look at her gallery. This is the her inspiration card. Congratulations Joanne! Enjoy your reign! Here is my card. I'm also going to take this over to Shopping Our Stash where they're looking for Fur or Feathers No Insects, Spiders or Bees. The Peach Parfait cardstock and sentiment are both from my stash. The background was done with the Watercolor Splotches…
