Shacklock Orion range in action, 1920s
The infamous Shacklock Orion cooking range was considered state of the art in its time, 1920s. Fitted into an open fireplace, this one came with an existing bread oven inserted in the right-hand side of the fireplace. Below the bread oven was space naturally created for an open fire with a camp oven cooking pot suspended over the flames. This Orion range had a single oven.
