This Louis XVI trumeau mirror is one of two mirrors that are from the same paneled room in a chateau in southwest France. They have the same ring garland and bow applique´ and moldings, but differ slightly in size. This decorative panel is framed with bead molding. The lower glass has panel molding with double decorative detail, The larger detail is an acanthus leaf roping.
