TV Guides are yet another thing I collect. Not all of the issues, but certain ones that are special to me, such as those that featured Saturday morning cartoons such as this one from 1973. My mom always subscribed to TV Guide and I knew exactly what day it would arrive in the mail and would wait for it to arrive so I could pour over it and plan my TV viewing habits for the next week. Surprisingly, I did not end up a TV junkie!

Something about old ads for Saturday morning cartoons gets me all nostalgic. In 1981, CBS television featured the Hanna-Barbera shows The Popeye and Olive Comedy Show, Trollkins, The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show and The Kwicky Koala Show.

I loved this year of Saturday morning cartoons (no, not because of Menudo!). The ABC 1983 lineup featured the Hanna-Barbera cartoons Pac-Man, Monchichis, The Best of Scooby-Doo, The Little Rascals/Richie Rich Show and The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show. That's 5 shows, just on one network! I also enjoyed Rubik the Amazing cube by Ruby-Spears Productions.
