Imprints of real Ginkgo Biloba leaves. The tree and leaves of Ginkgo Biloba are sacred to the Japanese and Chinese. It is used in folk medicine. There are many stories and legends about this tree. These leaves are grown on a tree that I have been caring for for 18 years.
This is a painting made in technique of Japanese Gyotaku. The origins of this art in Japan dates back to over 200 years ago. To do this, you need water-based ink, rice half-baked paper, and a real object to be mirrored. (Originally caught fish). The ink is applied to the object, and an imprint is made by rubbing the ink into the paper.
Rice paper made according to ancient technology, which has been used since the 6th - 7th centuries.
The color of the paper is white, interspersed with gold foil.

The article I've decided to do research on is the one on ancient fish printing technique called Gyotaku. I'm planning on creating an ad poster for classes on Gyotaku. A booklet with instructions and everything one might need to host a class on Gyotaku. And finally, a packaging for a Gyotaku making kit. The following are some sketches on the topic. Just toget me and you in the mood...
