Installation by Ashley Gierke: Over six thousand circular pieces of colored paper were shaped into cups and adhered to three adjacent gallery walls. Various cups, chosen at random, where filled with a mixture of acrylic paint and shaving cream. This substance would expand and grow within and over the edges of the cups, some blobs falling to the floor below. As time passed the substance changed from a light, fluffy, smooth puff into a hard, crumbly, wrinkly material.
