Este libro iluminado hecho de corteza de árbol es un pustaha, escrito en la escritura del pueblo batak del norte de Sumatra. Los pustahas eran libros que describían prácticas mágicas; solo podían ser usados por los líderes espirituales batak y sus discípulos.
