The axolotl is a curious creature native to Mexico. It is a type of salamander that does not complete its development in the adult phase – it stays a larva and never grows up.

I think Axolotls are neat. They live up to 15 years and are called "walking fish", although they are amphibians.

Julio Cortázar, born Jules Florencio Cortázar[1] (American Spanish: [ˈxuljo korˈtasar] ( listen); August 26, 1914 – February 12, 1984), was an Argentine novelist, short story writer, and essayist. Known as one of the founders of the Latin American Boom, Cortázar influenced an entire generation of Spanish-speaking readers and writers in the Americas and Europe. He has been called a "modern master of the short story."

Read his novel Hopscotch - "Rayuela" in Spanish. His writings were such that he inspired the great Italian film director Michelangelo Antonioni with "Blowup.
