The venerable Praline Bakery of Bethesda, Maryland hired Jacobsen Architecture to design a new bakery and store in The Mosaic District in Fairfax County, Virginia. The design was a dramatic departure from the iconic Bethesda establishment and shows a new direction and expansion of smaller, more visually disciplined stores throughout the region
This modern house has a landscaped garden with a small path leads to a courtyard that's enclosed by decorative laser cut screens, that can pivot to enable the courtyard to be hidden when needed.

Mosaic, Fairfax County, VA. The Praline Bakery The venerable Praline Bakery of Bethesda fame hired Jacobsen Architecture, LLC to create the first of many new but smaller "Praline 2.0" bakeries. The design is signature Jacobsen with a centerpiece 1970's 60 quart Hobart mixer painted in the company's flagship colours.
