In January 2022 our friends at Lift aircraft began manned flight training, with March 2022 being when it performed at SXSW its first public manned flight demonstration🛩️ The HEXA is qualified as a powered ultralight under FAA regulations, so it does not require a pilot's license to fly. This week we have been testing our latest computer vision algorithms for GNSS Denied Navigation 🖥️ This is one of the tests performed in the SLAM (Simultaneous localization and mapping) algorithm which uses the camera to locate the drone's position once it loses GNSS signal.
