Here’s an odd one. Helen Hayes pictured on a packet of sugar from the 1970s as part of a series of “Outstanding American Women.” I don’t know who the others were, I bought some stuff off of somebody locally once and the seller tossed this into the deal. MacArthur was the adopted son of playwright Charles MacArthur and his wife, actress Helen Hayes. He made his Broadway debut in 1960, playing opposite Jane Fonda in Invitation to a March, for which he received a Theater World Award.
