As curator of his forthcoming exhibition at Tate Britain, Catherine Lampert is the ideal person to write about artist Frank Auerbach, says Gerald Isaaman .What is of special interest locally – an area where many Jews fleeing the Holocaust settled – is that Auerbach, sent to Bunce Court boarding school in Kent along with other Kindertransport refugees, spent holiday time in Hampstead with a cousin, burying himself in books borrowed from the Keats Grove library.
