Ramón Casas i Carbó, Barcelona (1866 - 1932) Pintor catalán, nacido en Barcelona el 5 de enero de 1866, hijo de Ramon Casas i Gatell, indiano que había hecho fortuna en Matanzas (Cuba) y de Elisa Carbó i Ferrer, hija de una adinerada familia burguesa. De muy niño se distinguió en las clases de dibujo en el colegio de Carreras (Barcelona), lo que hizo que, en 1877, abandonara la escuela para estudiar arte en el estudio de Joan Vicens. En 1881, siendo adolescente, fue cofundador de la revista…
