Don't Get Confused Between Quartzite and Quartz Countertops . We have Quartzite countertops in our kitchen in Dallas. Quartzite is a natural stone, not to be confused with a product called Quartz which is an engineered stone. Quartzite resembles marble very closely, but has more the properties of Granite. In fact, it is harder than granite. This photo shows Quartzite countertops.
