For the interiors, the Interior Designer Nicky Dobree took inspiration from the iconic building itself which dates back to 1896 and stands on the foundations of an ancient 13th century Arab house. The original black and white floor tiles were therefore lifted and re-laid on newly levelled floors. The stone staircase and balustrade were painstakingly restored. This is not our largest room (that privilege belongs to Room 3), however this duplex has private access to the roof with spectacular views across town, country and of course the coastline and views to the African continent. Art in the room includes a photograph from Tommy Clarke's 'Salt' series - a reference to the famous salt pans of Cádiz, Picasso lithographs, an antique desk and lamps by Ralph Lauren.
