Parador de Santiago de Compostela  Santiago de Compostela, Spain      Also known as Hostal dos Reis Católicos, this famous Spanish parador began as a hospital in 1499 to give refuge to the many pilgrims coming into Santiago; some consider it to be the oldest hotel in the world. Its spectacular location in the Plaza do Obradoiro means that some of the rooms have windows looking down on the cathedral square where the pilgrims finish their walks.

Galician Bagpipes

Galician Bagpipes sound all around the cathedral. It was almost celebratory to hear as I walked into Santiago after traveling 500 miles :)
