Three turbans
Lahariya
Turban cloth of cotton muslin dyed in the laharia technique. Its name is derived from the Indian word meaning wave. The fabric is diagonally rolled up into a coil from selvedge to selvedge and all the sections which are to remain undyed are tied up tightly with cotton thread. The result is a pattern of diagonal stripes. For multicolored lines, some areas are opened and others tied up for the new dye bath. Often only individual sections are dipped and often there are painted details. This turban Inventions, Bath, Cotton Thread, Cotton Muslin, Muslin Cotton
